This series comprises records collected or created by the [Distribution of Population Committee [VA 2896] during the course of its inquiry.Committee records typically include (but not always):* minutes of meetings;* background papers;* correspondence;* submissions;* transcripts of hearings;* progressive and Final Reports.The P0001 consignment of this series contains a single minute book of the Population Distribution Committee. However it appears that the Committee sat past the last entry in this volume (2 February 1961) as reference is made to a further meeting. This is apparently the only volume extant.The P0002 consignment of this series comprises a range of documents created or collected by the Distribution of Population Committee [VA 2896] during the course of the inquiry.
