Scenarios of landscape recreational potential

This dataset includes a set of indicators proposed to assess recreational potential in a robust, i.e., data-driven manner across a pan-European spatial continuum based on a land systems map. The corresponding modelling approach assumes beneficiaries' potential willingness to travel in terms of distance costs as scoping range for the identification of recreational opportunities, that correspond to classes of the land systems map with assumed capacity (potential) to provide recreational benefits. Proposed indicators reflect on (i) total supply; (ii) diversity; (iii) demand; and (iv) potential pressure (crowding) as dimensions of landscape recreational potential. The indicators are provided for baseline, and for NFF scenarios up to 2050.
