R script and Dataset to reproduce data for Mutation rate and effective population size of the model cooperative bacterium Myxococcus xanthus"

Inference of the mutation rates and population size of bacterium Myxococcus xanthus. Dataset consists of: a) mutational count data from a mutation accumulation experiment with bacterium Myxococcus xanthus; b) the whole genome alignments of natural isolates to parse 4-fold degenerate sites to estimate neutral nucleotide diversity and effective population size, respectively.Download all files (and folders) into the same common folder (don't change names) on a local machine. Running the R script "WIELGOSS_GBE.R" therein will set the script's folder as "Working directory" using set.wd().Please read annotations in the script at each step, and follow instructions where needed.
