IOTC Collection and Reporting Forms for the Regional Observer Scheme

Forms developed by the IOTC Secretariat in 2010 to support the collection of catch and fisheries data by scientific observers under the Regional Observer Scheme, available in English and French. This deposit contains the forms developed by the IOTC Secretariat in November 2010 to support the collection of catch and other fisheries data by scientific observers within the framework of the Regional Observer Scheme (ROS), as required under IOTC Resolution 09/04. The ten forms were designed for use onboard longline (LL), purse seine (PS), pole-and-line (PL), and gillnet (GN) vessels, with some applicable across gear types (‘GEN’ = generic): Form 1-GEN: Vessel and trip information Form 2-GEN: Vessel-specific gear details (PS, PL, GN) Form 2-LL: Pelagic longline gear and operation information (LL) Form 3-GEN: Surface fishery activity daily log (PS, PL, GN) Form 4-GN: Fishing event – Gillnet Form 4-LL: Fishing event – Longline Form 4-PL: Fishing event – Pole-and-line Form 4-PS: Fishing event – Purse seine Form 5-GEN: Fishing/supply vessel sightings Form 6-GEN: Transhipment The forms were created in Microsoft Publisher and are available in both .pub and .pdf formats, in English and French.
