Towards a National Professional Development Recognition Framework for All Staff Who Teach in Higher Education

The National Professional DevelopmentFramework (PDF) for All Staff Who Teachin Higher Education was published inmid-2016. Since then, the National Forumprofessional development expert group has been considering the structure and functioning of an associated Professional Development Recognition Framework (PDRF). This Forum Insight sets out a proposed vision for the national PDRF and poses questions that need to be considered by those with and for whom the recognition framework has been designed. The proposed model for the PDRF has been informed by a review of international models of PDRFs, sectoral consultation and the contributions of all those involved in the initial implementation of the PDF.
