This layer shows the location of railway crossings for the freight or passenger rail network in Western Australia. Rail transport is a means of conveyance of passengers & goods by way of wheeled vehicles running on rail tracks. In contrast to road transport, where vehicles merely run on a prepared surface, rail vehicles are also directionally guided by the tracks on which they run.\n\nThis data presents the pedestrian crossings in Western Australia as of December 2017.
