资源简介:

Urban Nature Profile (UNP) of 84 large cities, 2025 The Urban Nature Profile (UNP) is a classification of urban ground by how much nature it lacks. It sorts every 100 m cell of a city into one of ten tiers: seven that grade built and vegetated ground, from built-up ground with almost no vegetation (T1 Emergency) to tree-covered ground with almost no buildings (T7 Anchor), and three that cover water (T8), cropland (T9) and fallow or barren ground (T10). Each tier stands for a physical state of the ground, so each points to the kind of action that fits it. This dataset gives the UNP tier map for the urban study areas of 84 large cities (72 in the Global South, 12 in the Global North) for 2025: 430,556 km² in all, of which 379,200 km² is land and 51,356 km² water. Nature-deprived ground (T1 and T2) covers 39,704 km², 10.5% of the land. Contents:- tiers/: one GeoTIFF per city (84 files), unsigned 8-bit, values 0 to 10 (0 = no data), WGS 84 (EPSG:4326), cell 0.000898315284° (about 100 m), official tier colours embedded- cities.csv: city code, name, country, region, Köppen group, reference point, and the area of each tier (km²)- boundaries/: study-area polygons of the 84 cities (GeoPackage)- styles/: QGIS style and colour table- README.md and SHA-256 checksums The classification draws on Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery and on global satellite-derived products (GHSL built-up surface and building height, ETH canopy height, ESA WorldCover, JRC Global Surface Water). The full classification rules will be released with the accompanying publication. This dataset contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2025).
