Abstract
---------------------------
The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) conducted a household survey in Haiti through the Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM) system. The survey started from November 24 to December 24, 2022. The survey employed random digital dialling to select households. A total of 2,053 households were reached, a representative at the department level. The survey targeted all ten departments of Haiti: Artibonite, Centre, Grand’Anse, Nippes, Nord, Nord-Est, Nord-Ouest, Sud, Sud-Est, and Ouest.
