This study investigates the transport of aquatic invasive species in their early life stages focusing on flow-particle-obstacle interactions in streams. Two types of surrogate eggs were tested in laboratory experiments with a simplified riverbed geometry with submerged obstacles. Image processing techniques, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Lagrangian Particle Tracking, were used to obtain flow velocity fields and particle trajectories, respectively.
