Data supporting the doctoral dissertation "Becoming Marble: A Genealogy of Pentelic Matter and Mediterranean Materialism"

This dataset contains five original photographs documenting marble extraction and processing practices at Mount Pentelicus (Pentelikon), Greece. The images record current industrial techniques such as diamond wire cutting and monowire diamond sawing, alongside sites of ancient quarrying and workshop practices associated with Pentelic marble. The photographs were produced as part of doctoral research into the material, technological, and historical trajectories of Pentelic marble. The dataset provides visual reference material relevant to architectural history and theory, material culture studies, and the theory of material practices. All photographs were taken by the author and are released for scholarly reuse with appropriate attribution.
