资源简介:
In 2018, Archaeological Research Services Ltd was commissioned by Total Waste Water Systems (UK) Ltd to undertake a Level 4 Historic Building Recording in order to discharge conditions of the planning permissions for repairs to the farmhouse, conversion of attached barn to holiday let accommodation, demolition of other disused farm buildings, erection of new dwellings and communal garage structure, and alterations to access and boundary wall. Highfield Farm lies on the north-eastern periphery of the historic core of the village of Holbrook and Holbrook Conservation Area and is a former Strutt Estate farmstead. It comprises two main ranges of buildings with outbuildings, both of which are Grade II listed (no. 1158257). The farmhouse is 17th century and 18th century in date with 19th century alterations. The adjoining barn building and the southern complex buildings are of 18th century date with 19th and 20th century alterations. In the grounds of the farm, to the east, are further small outbuildings.
