资源简介:
A total of 78 Korean married couples (all heterosexual) were recruited through online/offline advertisements. Recruited participants came to the laboratory together at an arranged time. After they were informed about the study procedure by a trained graduate student and signed a consent form, each partner was led to a private room to complete the first questionnaire independently. The measures included in the first questionnaire were as follows: Korean Big Five Inventory (Kim, Kim, Ha, 2011); Satisfaction with Life Scale (Diener, Emmons, Larsen, Griffin, 1985); Meaning in Life Scale (Steger, Frazier, Oishi, Kaler, 2006); Investment Model Scale (Rusbult, Martz, Agnew, 1998); The Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised Questionnaire (Fraley, Waller, Brennan, 2000); Implicit Theories of Relationships Scale (Knee, 1998); Implicit Theories of Personality Scale (Dweck, Chiu, Hong, 1995); The Attentiveness to Alternatives Index (Miller, 1997); Willingness to Sacrifice (adapted from Van Lange et al., 1997); Inclusion of Other in the Self Scale (IOS; Aron, Aron, Smollan, 1992) - Current Ideal; Infidelity Scale (Drigotas, Safstrom, Gentilia, 1999); The Narcissistic Personality Inventory–13 (Gentile et al., 2013); Material Values Scale (Richins, 2004); Growth Motivation Index (Bauer, Park, Montoya, Wayment, 2015); Communication Patterns Questionnaire (Crenshaw, Christensen, Baucom, Epstein, Baucom, 2017) After taking a short break (without interacting with their partner), participants returned to their room to complete the second session of the study. Participants were asked to describe themselves, their partner, an ideal husband, and an ideal wife by rating on 30 adjectives that describe personality traits. Finally, after taking another short break, they completed a writing task in which they were instructed to think about how they would be spending an afternoon on a weekend two years from now. The entire study took about 60-90 minutes to complete. The project was approved by Korea University research ethics board.
