Analysis of the effect of Clostridium butyricum on intestinal microbial diversity in mice fed a high-fat diet.

To investigate the effect of Clostridium butyricum on mice fed a high-fat diet, 16S rRNA analysis was performed on the colonic contents of three groups of mice: those fed a normal diet, those fed a high-fat diet, and those fed a high-fat diet supplemented with Clostridium butyricum. This was aimed at exploring the impact of a high-fat diet on the intestinal microbial diversity of mice and the mitigating effect of Clostridium butyricum on this impact.
