Sea and sugar beet (Beta vulgaris) roots endophytic microbiome Targeted loci environmental

Bacteria-free wild (sea) and crop (sugar) beet plants were grown in sterilized soil inoculated with either lyophilized wild sea beet roots or the same lyophilizate that was autoclaved. Roots were sampled and surface sterilized and endophytic bacteria were analyzed by means of 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing. We strived at determination of time required for the endophytic beet microbiome to form and of the set of organisms that are picked up from rhizosphere.
