Infestation of moose by the deer ked, Lipoptena cervi, according to data from the Leningrad Province (Northwest Russia).

This study presents data on the infestation of moose (Alces alces) by the deer ked Lipoptena cervi. Infestation data were obtained from analysis of neck skin sections of legally harvested moose in Leningrad Province, Russia. The table contains information on the place and date of harvest, approximate age and sex of the harvested moose, dimensions of the studied skin section (before and after processing), as well as the number of identified deer keds and pupae (psc). The sample contains information on pieces of skins obtained from 35 animals (29 males, 6 females) for the study period from 2020 to 2025. For more information see Read_me.docx
