Urban Forestry Current ROW Planting Sites

The proposed 2025 fall planting sites dataset was created and maintained by City of Madison Urban Forestry Department to coordinate and track the planting of ROW trees. Data is used to communicate both internally and externally where this work will be performed. NOTE: Data last updated 09/16/2025 Field descriptions are as follows: • Last Inspection Date – Last inspection date • Inventory Date – Last inventory date • Site ID – Unique ID for planting site • Species Common Name – Common species name • Species Scientific Name – Scientific species name • Growth Space Size – Available growth area around site • Tree Diameter – Diameter breast height (DBH) • Status – Site active yes/no • Treeguard Present – Treeguard present yes/no • Grate Size – Size of grate around tree, if present
