The Perilla Leaf Moth, <i>Pyrausta phoenicealis</i> (Hübner, 1818), is a polyphagous pest often confused with <i>P. panopealis</i> due to morphological similarity. Here, we report the complete 15,281-bp mitochondrial genome of <i>P. phoenicealis</i>, comprising 37 genes and one A + T-rich region. The genome exhibits typical Lepidopteran features, with a <i>trnM-trnI-trnQ</i> arrangement and a CGA start codon for <i>COI</i>. Among Pyraustinae, <i>srRNA, ND4</i>, and <i>COI</i> were the most conserved genes. Phylogenetic analyses confirmed the monophyly of <i>Pyrausta</i> with strong support. This mitochondrial genome will serve as a valuable reference for future genetic and evolutionary studies.
