Human gut microbial change in different high-altitude exposure

We aimed to identify dysbacteriosis in short-and long-term high-altitude exposure populations and explore specific gut bacteria related to high-altitude exposure. Our study provided a new perspective to understanding the effects of the high-altitude harsh environment on the structure and function of gut microbiota more comprehensively, provided new clues for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of various high-altitude diseases, and supplied more evidence for deeper excavation of gut microbiota-based preventive and treatment strategies against high-altitude sickness. In the future, we will further investigate the role of certain specific species in human health and diseases based on the changing characteristics of flora in this study, as well as continue to explore the changing attributes of gut flora in plateau-resident populations.
