GUATEMALA, EL SALVADOR & NICARAGUA (2012): IUD perception among women's health providers. Second Round

To determine the level of IUDs' perceptions among Family Planning providers, disaggregating by specific attributes that they take into account when prescribing any modern method of contraception. Results will be compared with future surveys on IUD perceptions to show the donors whether the Women's Health Project (WHP) has positively impacted on providers' perceptions/attitudes on IUD. It is assumed that WHP's programmatic activities will indirectly increase providers' positive perceptions about IUD over time and, this in turn, will set the ground for a continued growth of the project by generating demand on providers. The present study will be the follow up study and will be compared with the baseline conducted in 2010.本研究旨在明确计划生育服务提供者对宫内节育器（Intrauterine Device, IUD）的认知水平，并按照其开具任意现代避孕方法时所考量的具体属性进行分类拆解。研究结果将与后续针对宫内节育器认知的调研进行对比，以向资助方证明女性健康项目（Women's Health Project, WHP）是否对服务提供者的宫内节育器认知与态度产生了积极影响。本研究假设，随着时间推移，女性健康项目的各项项目活动将间接提升服务提供者对宫内节育器的积极认知，而这反过来将通过激发服务端需求，为项目的持续发展奠定基础。本次研究属于追踪调研，将与2010年开展的基线调研进行对比分析。
