Community and public health medicine in Norway - Survey 1994, 1999 and 2002

Survey with public health physicians in municipal employment: from 510 to 590 per year (1994, 1999 and 2002), and 170-190 which had left their positions (1999 and 2002)

The objective of this study was to describe and explore the local public health's work and framework over time, in relation to workload, work content and mobility in the labor market. Furthermore, how were primary physicians' tasks prioritized before and after implementation of the GP scheme, with special emphasis on the compound preventive health care in the municipalities.
