Self-Construal_Cognitive Biases_Chinese Students_2023.sav

This dataset underpins the research conducted on the influence of self-construal on cognitive biases among Chinese college students. It contains the collected responses measuring constructs such as self-construal (both independent and interdependent facets), attentional control, self-esteem, the need to belong, and cognitive reappraisal strategies. The data were used to explore how these psychological constructs correlate with cognitive biases towards positive and negative information. This work contributes to our understanding of the interplay between individual self-construal and mental processes in the context of cultural psychology. The dataset includes SPSS .sav files with anonymized participant responses, organized to facilitate replication and further analysis by researchers interested in the intersection of cultural identity, cognitive biases, and their implications for mental health among young adults in educational settings.
