Effect of Gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel in pancreatic cancer cachexia

The aim of the study is to test if Gemcitabine in combination with nab-paclitaxel can prevent muscle wasting and cardiac dysfunction in a mouse model of pancreatic cancer cachexia. The study had three groups- Sham surgery group (control, group 1), KPC group- mice orthotopically impanted with pancreatic cancer cells (group 2) and KPC group receiving gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel (group 3). RNA sequencing was performed in skeletal muscle and heart.
