Potter Cove (King George Island, Antarctic Peninsula) metagenomic dataset from 0-60m depth sampled on January and February 2020

Antarctic Peninsula is a region in the Southern Ocean that is drastically affected by climate change. It has been shown that Potter Cove is strongly influenced by freshwater inputs from glacier meltwater run-off and is experiencing rapid physical climate change These changes affect microbial community dynamics and thus ecosystem function. In this project, we performed metagenomic sequencing of samples collected from three different stations, from 0-60m depth. Samples were collected on 30th of January and 14th of February 2020.
