POLLEN ANALYSIS AT FORT BRIDGER (48UT29), WYOMING

Pollen samples were examined from Features 2 and 3 at Fort Briefer (48UT29) to assist in identifying the purpose for which these features were used. Feature 2 appears to be the trading post. It had a wooden floor while in use. Feature 3 was a pit that might have functioned as a storage pit or possibly as a milk trench or well. It was utilized during the Mormon era.为明确布里弗堡（Fort Briefer，遗址编号48UT29）内2号与3号遗迹的使用功能，研究人员对其花粉样本开展了检测分析。2号遗迹应为贸易站点，使用期间铺设有木质地面。3号遗迹为一处坑穴，其功能或为储物坑，亦有可能为储奶槽（milk trench）或水井，该遗迹曾在摩门教时期被利用。
