Thermal Imaging Dataset of Decomposition in a Humid Temperate Environment
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains thermal imaging and environmental data collected during the decomposition of six pig carcasses (Sus scrofa domesticus) in a humid temperate environment in the United Kingdom. Thermal images were captured across multiple postmortem intervals using a FLIR One Gen 3 infrared camera. Temperature variables (maximum, minimum, and mean) were extracted from thermograms and analysed alongside environmental measurements including ambient temperature and humidity. The dataset includes both raw and processed thermograms, a structured metadata file, and documentation describing data collection and processing methods. This dataset supports research into forensic taphonomy, postmortem interval estimation, and the use of thermal imaging as a non-invasive proxy for internal decomposition processes.
