Bacterial diversity associated wit the marine amoeba Paramoeba atlantica

Metagenomic characterization of the bacterial diversity persistently living in close association (either extra and/or intracellularly) with the widespread marine amoeba Paramoeba atlantica. The strain CCAP 1560/9 was used for this study, maintained in culture in the lab, prior to DNA extraction, selectively enriched for bacteria.
