The purpose of this study was to assess gene expression changes in airway OTE tissues following chlorine exposure (CE). Overall design: OTEs were exposed to medical air (MA) or 20 ppm chlorine gas (Cl2) for 30 min. At 0, 6, 12 or 24 hours post-exposure, OTEs were collected and snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen for gene expression studies.
