Effect of pemafibrate on liver gene expression in wild-type mice and in mice with hepatocyte-restricted deletion of PPARalpha

We analyzed the effect of chronic (14 days) treatment with a selective PPARalpha agonist on liver gene expression in vivo in mice (B6/J). The experiment was done in mice from both sexes. The experiment was done in both wild-type (LWT) and in mice with hepatocyte-restricted deletion of PPARalpha. Ten-week-old Male and female PPARahep+/+ (LWT) and PPARahep-/- (LKO) received the PPARα agonist pemafibrate (0,1 mg/kg/day) or vehicle (Carboxymethyl cellulose 0,5%) by gavage for 14 days (n=6 animals/genotype/treatment/sex).
