Ortnamn och fornlämningar i Södra Ångermanland

This dataset contains material from a pilot study on potential relationships between place names and archaeological sites in Southern Ångermanland, Sweden. The dataset includes cleaned CSV tables, geodata in KML format, and Python code used for data processing and analysis (suffix coding, nearest neighbour calculations, Jaccard index). Sources include Rosenberg’s Geographical Lexicon, Torsten Bucht’s Ortnamnen i Västernorrland, Open coordinate data, and the Swedish National Heritage Board’s FMIS/Fornsök. The material is intended as pilot data for method development and should not be seen as fully quality-controlled
