VPRS 9465 Schedule of Documents Sealed with the Corporate Seal

The schedules of documents to which the corporate seal was to be attached was presented by the Lord Mayor to the Council at its meetings for the approval of the Council. After approval the Town Clerk was authorized to affix the corporate seal to the documents listed. This procedure was required under By-law No. 121 (1910) and subsequent local government legislation.That approval (for the corporate seal to be affixed) was given by the council at its meeting was recorded in the minutes (and proceedings), but the schedule does not appear in those records.Information in the schedules includes the meeting date at which the list was submitted, the number of the order of the day at which it was presented, the type of document, (for example: contracts, agreements, notices served, lease agreements, renewal of tenancy agreements, plans of subdivisions, etc.,) and a descriptive title which includes the name of the other party.
