The goal of this archive is to create harmonized Canadian Census Divisions, meaning Census divisions with stable geographical boundaries, between the 1981 Standard Geographical Classification (SGC) and the 2001 SGC. This allows for a longitudinal analysis between 1981 and 2001 at the (harmonized) Census division level. This can be useful both for Census data and for data coming from tax files, such as Statistics Canada’s Intergenerational Income Database.<br>
