Share of coaches at the Olympics 2016, by gender

With so much training involved in making it to the Olympics, it is no surprise that athletes choose their coaches wisely. The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro consisted of 306 events across 28 sports - the share of female accredited coaches across all of these disciplines stood at just 11 percent.
