San Diego County GIS Data

This growing collection provides historical versions of datasets collected from multiple sources, including the City of San Diego, the County of San Diego, the State of California, and the federal government. The data are stored in compressed ZIP files. Each ZIP file contains a shapefile along with its associated supporting files. Shapefiles can be read by many GIS and CAD systems. New layers are added as they become available from original sources or modified by City and County departments. These data are archived copies held at the University of California San Diego. For the most current version of this data please visit the source website for each of the datasets, which can be found in the metadata of each dataset.

Data layers include such layers as parcels, roads, property and official city boundaries, census areas and statistics, community planning areas, lakes, streams, business zones, and many other topics.
