Syncom administration on black soldier fly larvae microbiota

This study developped two bacterial SynComs (i.e. synthetic microbiota) from strains of endogenous origin to measure the effect of the microbiota on the larval growth and microbial composition. The SynComs were administered at two concentrations (5x10^7 CFU and 10^8 CFU) at the hatching of the neonates, that were subsequently reared for 10 days. Larvae were raised on two substrates: i) grocery store residues and ii) hatchery residues.
