FL_and_Hp_Wenshan_Cohort Database

This dataset supports a cross-sectional study investigating the relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and <i>Helicobacter pylori</i> (<i>H. pylori</i>) infection among 6,375 healthy adults in Wenshan City, Southwest China. The data were collected from health examinations at the People's Hospital of Wenshan Prefecture between 2020 and 2024.The dataset includes demographic information (age, gender), results of abdominal ultrasonography for NAFLD diagnosis, <i>H. pylori</i> infection status determined by the ¹⁴C-urea breath test, and a comprehensive panel of laboratory indicators (e.g., liver enzymes, lipid profiles, blood glucose, and hematological parameters).The key finding derived from this dataset is that, despite a high prevalence of both NAFLD (35.3%) and <i>H. pylori</i> infection (37.9%) in the study population, no statistically significant association was found between them. The data are valuable for further epidemiological research and meta-analysis on metabolic diseases and gastrointestinal infections in this region.
