Health monitoring of circular reinforced concrete columns under seismic excitation (1)

Objective: to explore the multi-functionality of smart aggregate especially the structural health monitoring of circular RC column in the shake table test. The smart aggregate will be used to perform dynamic seismic response detection, structural health monitoring and white noise response detection.
Experimental setup: reinforced concrete (RC) circular column, shake table, dSpace data acquisition system
Method: Smart aggregate-based health monitoring approach
Conclusion: The proposed smart aggregate-based approach successfully evaluated the health status of concrete column in the shake table test. The multi-functionality of smart aggregate is verified.
