资源简介:
This study explores the role of gut microbiota in auto-brewery syndrome (ABS), a rare condition where endogenous ethanol is produced via carbohydrate fermentation, contributing to metabolic dysregulation. Fecal samples collected before and after two fecal microbiota transplantations (FMTs) were analyzed for microbial composition. The results revealed significant shifts in microbiota composition correlating with clinical improvement, suggesting FMT as a potential therapeutic strategy for ABS. These findings highlight the need for further investigation into the microbiological underpinnings of ABS and its broader implications in metabolic diseases.
