Viral fraction from a washed-rind cheese was screened for virulent phages targeting ripening bacteria. Five phages were isolated and genomically (and morphologically) characterized. Among them, 3 siphophages, Rousseau, Diderot and Montesquieu infecting respectively Brevibacterium, Leuconostoc and Glutamicibacter, one myophage, D'Alembert, targeting Psychrobacter, and one podophage, Voltaire, infecting Glutamicibacter.
