K2-18b-Like Mini-Neptune around Sun Grids

This database provides the grids used during my summer 2025 internship at NASA Ames, and are used in many of the jupyter notebook files provided in the attached github link that summarize the project. The project focused on differentiating mini-Neptune and terrestrial (namely, Modern and Archean Earth) reflected spectras in anticipation for new exoplanet initial detections with Habitable Worlds Observatory. This was done by creating grids of mini-Neptune structures that were K2-18b like around Sun-like stars, ranging over the following parameters: Total Flux: 0.1 - 2.0 x Solar Planet Metallicity: 3 - 100 x Solar Internal Temperature (Tint): 20 - 200 K Eddy Diffusion Coefficient (Kzz): 10^5 - 10^9 cm^2/s Phase: relative to the observer and location in orbit, this describes how much of the face of the planet we are able to see, with planet/star flux decreasing as phase increases. ~ 0 - 170° The PICASO_climate_fv.h5 grid utilizes the open source code, PICASO, that can calculate a temperature-pressure profile of these mini-Neptunes that assumes energy conservation at every atmospheric layer (and chemical equilibrium). This includes a sample of 160 different mini-Neptunes. The Photochem_1D_fv.h5 grid utilizes the open source code, Photochem, a 1D photochemical model open source code that calculates molecular abundances that have reached a steady state after accounting for temperature-pressure gradients, UV photolysis, and vertical mixing. This includes a sample of 480 different mini-Neptunes. The ReflectedSpectra_fv.h5 grid utilizes the reflected spectra calculations done in PICASO to provide a sample of 8640 different mini-Neptunes.
