Historical Flood Events and Documentary Sources for Holstebro, Denmark, 1878–2025

This dataset documents 64 known flood events of the Storå river in Holstebro, Denmark, between 1878 and 2025. It combines a historical event chronology with bibliographic metadata for 692 newspaper articles, magazine articles, advertisements and web sources concerning flooding, river management, risk perception and flood governance. Three related tables describe flood events, documentary sources and 556 event–source–role assignments. The package includes the complete dataset in Excel and CSV formats, together with a README and detailed codebook explaining the methods, variables, classifications, limitations and relational structure. Copyrighted source texts are excluded.
