The aim of the present study was to investigate biomarkers in the malignant process of HCC by high throughput sequencing. Overall design: Tumors and paired non-tumor tissues were collected from HCC patients during surgeries at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. Samples were profiled separately using the Illumina HiSeq⢠2500 by MyGene Diagnostics Co., Ltd (Guangzhou, China).
