NRS-8 | Special bundles

This series comprises seven registered files with an “A” prefix, some of which (or all) may be from the Chief Secretary’s Department correspondence. The files relate to such matters as the management of reserves and the appointments to the Aboriginal Welfare Board. One file relates to the consolidation of Kinchela Lower and Kinchela Aboriginal Schools. Much of the file for Tabulam Aboriginal Reserve relates to the provision of school services at the Reserve. The files include correspondence relating to the Proclamation for the Aborigines Protection (Amendment) Act 1940 and newspaper clippings.The series also contains a file relating to an Aboriginal Ward under the care of the Aborigines Welfare Board and this file is closed because it contains personal information.
