Continuation of Endangered Species Act (ESA) Section 7 Consultation on Incidental Catches of Pacific Salmon and Steelhead in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) and Gulf of Alaska (GOA) Groundfish Fisheries and Amendment 84a

We are providing to you updated infonnation regarding ESA-listed Pacific salmon and steelhead and the impacts of the BSAI and GOA groundfish fisheries, including proposed Amendment 84a. In October 2005, the North Pacific Fishery Management Council recommended changes to salmon bycatch management in the BSAI in Amendment 84a to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for groundfish ofthe BSAI.
