资源简介:
Survey conducted by non-government organisation has revealed that about 71% population in India is non-vegetarian. Per capita consumption of poultry meat in is estimated as 3.6 kg/annum. Literature survey indicated the indiscriminate use of antibiotics including “Aminoglycosides, Bambermycins, Beta-lactams, Glycopeptides, Ionophores, Lincosamides, Macrolides, Polypeptides, Quinolones, Streptogramins, Sulfonamides, Tetracyclines” in poultry. It is observed that respective antibiotics remain available through multiple supplies as an online marketing and its need is not confirmed by veterinary medical practitioners. Along with antibiotics many prohibited chemical substances including hormones are used for weight gain purpose in poultry. It is the ethical guideline that livestock treated with prohibited substances should be identified and should not be marketed for human use. Unfortunately, the ethical guidelines are neglected by organization and poultry farmers and as a result develops Multiple Drug Resistance [MDR] in poultry derived pathogens. Most of the inflammatory diseases related with Gastro Intestinal Tract [GIT] of human being revealed the presence of poultry derived Multiple Drug Resistant pathogens. Such pathogens keeps potential to develop serious health hazards. On this background, study was conducted in the Pune territory to establish the relationship of poultry pathogen and human diseases.
