Pyramidal neurons and aggregcan-positive interneurons were collected from healthy control human post-mortem brain tissue (Brodmann Area 9) by laser capture microdissection. RNA was collected from pooled cells from 4 donors, and compared with full stained sections to determine enriched genes expressed in each cell type by RNAseq. Overall design: n=4 donors, 3 samples per donor: stained section of BA9, n=200 pyramidal neurons, or n=200 aggrecan-positive interneurons.
