Filters for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were collected from the CTD, underway system, and melted sea ice in the Weddell Sea. These samples were collected to evaluate the phytoplankton community composition in this region and were analysed at DHI (Denmark) according to the NASA standard quality protocol (Van Heukelem & Thomas, 2005; NASA Technical Memorandum). These samples were taken by scientists from the University of East Anglia in February 2024 during the NERC-funded PICCOLO cruise SD035 in the Southern Ocean.
