Parameters of insulin action and secretion in ZLR and ZFR groups.

SI (10-4 dL·kg-1·min-1 /(μU·mL-1)), whole-body insulin sensitivity; Φ1((pmol/L C-peptide)/(mmol/L glucose)), first-phase responsiveness index; Φ2 (10-1 min-2·(pmol/L C-peptide)/(mmol/L glucose)), second-phase responsiveness index; Φss (min-1·(pmol/L C-peptide)/(mmol/L glucose)), steady-state responsiveness index. All the parameters and indexes were estimated or computed by CPMM and IVGTT, except for SI, which was estimated by GKMM and IVGTT. The percent coefficient of variation of the estimates (CV%) was given in parentheses, when available.
