Dense longitudinal metagenomic analysis of the gut microbiome of FMT donors

Using Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) to cure Clostridium Difficile-infected patients is a major clinical successes. To determine the metagenomic variability of FMT donors, we collected 469 samples from 54 healthy FMT donors and performed shotgun metagenomic sequencing on those samples. The sequencing data also includes four densely sampled metagenomic time-series from FMT donors over months to years.
