Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect
收藏资源简介:
The files contains: (1) STORMI data extracted from analysis profiles for the work 'Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect'. The columns are: month tilt_deg twist_sign Bx_nT By_nT Bz_nT STORMI_index_nT. (2) A derived subset of the Wind ICME catalogue (containing 311 events between March 1995 and April 2021 that exhibit flux rope like signatures) as part of the analysis presented in the work “Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect”. The original and complete Wind ICME catalogue is maintained by Teresa Nieves-Chinchilla and her team at NASA and is available at https://wind.nasa.gov/. This dataset adds: (i) the corresponding day-of-year (DOY), (ii) a link to a PNG file showing the ICME modeling results, and (iii) the magnetic helicity inferred from that modeling.
