Metabolic rewiring tunes dermal macrophages in staphylococcal skin infection [RNA-seq dataset 2]

Dermal macrophages (Macs) are essential for the timely resolution of staphylococcal skin infections. However the cell intrinsic pathways and microenvironmental cues that mediate this are unclear. Here we analyzed a strictly intradermal ear infection model with Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) to explore immunometabolic regulation. Overall design: mRNA transcriptomes of CD64hi dermal macrophages sorted from uninfected mice and mice injected intradermally in both ears with S. aureus for 1, 5 or 7 days.
